Workflow
Recurring invoices, without the subscription machinery
Retainers, monthly services, repeat clients: you don't need a billing engine that auto-charges cards — you need this month's invoice out in seconds and someone else doing the chasing. That's exactly the loop RivitPay automates.
The duplicate-and-send loop
Open last month's invoice, press Duplicate, adjust the dates or line items if anything changed, and press Send. New invoice number, same client, done in well under a minute — and the live Viewed status tells you the moment they open it.
The chasing is the automatic part
Every invoice can carry a reminder schedule written as a plain sentence — nudge three days after sending, again on the due date, then weekly — in your own words, with your own note. Reminders fire on schedule and stop the instant the invoice is paid. Set your default once in Settings and every new invoice inherits it.
Why not auto-charge the card?
Honest answer: automatically charging a stored card each month is different machinery — mandates, retries, card-updater plumbing — and it puts you in the business of holding payment authority over your client. For service work, an invoice each cycle keeps the client in control, keeps you out of card-storage territory, and still gets you paid fast: the invoice arrives, they press Pay, the money settles to your bank. If your model is true subscriptions at scale, a dedicated billing engine is the right tool — for everyone billing people they actually know, this is simpler and it's free until you've collected $5,000.
Frequently asked questions
Can RivitPay charge my client's card automatically every month?
Not today — by design. You duplicate and send each cycle (seconds), automatic reminders chase in your words, and your client pays by card from the link. The client stays in control; you stay out of card-storage compliance.
What's the fastest way to re-bill a client?
Duplicate. One click on any paid invoice creates a fresh draft with everything carried over — adjust, send, done.
Do reminders stop when the invoice is paid?
Instantly. The paid webhook gates every reminder, so a client who has paid is never nudged again.
